My parents are selling my beloved Scion XB in August, if not sooner. Although that is quite some time away, Xander has already begun the search for a new car (one that’s within the budget of $3000, because that’s what my parents are giving me from the sale of the Scion) and he’s researching Volvo 240 sedans and wagons. Always have loved these Swede-mobiles anyways; they get pretty good gas mileage if taken care of correctly, have pretty good power, and are all around tanks when it comes to durability and lasting forever. The wagons can seat up to 7 people and hold probably 4-5 bikes, if not more with a bike rack. And wagons are just whatsup anyways. The sedans are cute and seat 5, and can be made bike friendly with a rack. I like the looks of both. and then my darling boyfriend sends me this picture of this beautiful Volvo 145 (a much older model, which would not be a smart move on my financial end). I’ve fallen in love. Just like I fell in love with an avocado green Ford Pinto wagon when I was 16.

I won’t be getting this beauty unfortunately, but probably a relative. Swede-mobile, here I come. I need to learn how to drive stick.
